• The six-laning of the CTH Road from Padi to Tiruninravur is being accelerated. Land acquisition is underway along the 22-km stretch to widen the road to 100 feet, and five flyovers are proposed at key junctions, including Korattur junction.
• The Koyambedu to Pattabiram metro extension, covering 21.76 km via the Outer Ring Road with 19 elevated stations, has had a Detailed Project Report submitted. The estimated cost is Rs 9,744 crore, and the alignment passes through Padi Pudhu Nagar, Mogappair, Ambattur, Thirumullaivoyal and Avadi.
• A four- or six-lane elevated corridor between Padi and Tiruninravur is at the feasibility stage, with consultants expected to be appointed for a feasibility study and detailed project report.
