Park Grove and Lavender Fields earn 2026 British Safety Council Sword of Honour

Published

Prestige Group has been named a recipient of two 2026 Sword of Honour awards from the British Safety Council, one each for Prestige Park Grove in Whitefield and Prestige Lavender Fields in Varthur, both in Bengaluru. The company announced the recognition on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The awards honour how the two sites manage workplace health and safety risks, and they place Prestige among the 80 organisations that earned a Sword of Honour this year.

The Sword of Honour is awarded for the qualification period from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026. To be eligible, an organisation must first earn the maximum five stars in the British Safety Council's health and safety management audit scheme. The application then has to be tied to a specific site that received that five-star outcome, which is why the honours are attached to Park Grove and Lavender Fields individually. 2026 marks the 47th consecutive year in which the British Safety Council has presented the award.

What the awards recognise

Applicants must show an independent panel of experts that health and safety is managed across the whole business, from operational teams on site to oversight at board level. The awards concern workplace safety at the two projects and do not relate to sales, launches or pricing.

Rezwan Razack, Joint Managing Director of Prestige Group, said that safety is fundamental to how the company plans, builds and manages its developments, and that the two awards reflect the commitment of the teams and their focus on maintaining high safety standards. V. Gopal, Executive Director, said the honours reflect the weight the company places on turning safety commitments into consistent practice on site. He added that strong safety performance depends on robust systems, disciplined execution, employee engagement and the participation of every stakeholder. Peter McGettrick, Chairman of the British Safety Council, congratulated the company and said the recognition required dedication and professionalism.

The two projects

Prestige Park Grove is spread across about 72 acres in Whitefield, on the Chikka Banahalli Road side of East Bengaluru. The project combines 1, 2, 3 and 4 BHK apartments with exclusive villa options known as The Willows. Apartment carpet areas range from 412 sq ft to 1,529 sq ft, and the development is 19 towers in scale. Construction was 58% complete in the June 2026 quarter. The project's RERA registration is PRM/KA/RERA/1251/446/PR/100823/006141, taken on 10 August 2023 by Prestige Projects Private Limited, and the launch took place in October 2023. Further project details are available on the Prestige Park Grove page.

Prestige Lavender Fields sits on Gunjur Varthur Main Road in Varthur, Bengaluru 560087. The project spans 18.2 acres with 6 towers and 1,473 registered units, offering 1, 2, 3 and 4 BHK configurations in sizes from 669 sq ft to 3,656 sq ft. Residents will have access to a 50,000 sq ft clubhouse with a sky deck, and the project overlooks Varthur Lake with around 80 percent of the site given to open space. The RERA registration is PRM/KA/RERA/1251/446/PR/290423/005906, and the project was officially launched on 1 June 2023. Completion is registered for May 2027.

The location

Whitefield is the eastern terminus of Bengaluru's Purple Line, which runs 37 stations from Challaghatta in the southwest to Whitefield (Kadugodi) in the east. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike's metro corporation, BMRCL, has finalised a short extension of the line beyond Whitefield station. The contract for the 482.8-metre stretch, valued at Rs 64.82 crore, was awarded on September 17, 2026 to Milan Road Buildtech LLP, with completion scheduled within 548 days. The extension crosses railway tracks near the station and requires approval from South Western Railway. No new station will be built on the extension.

BMRCL is also preparing a feasibility report for a new Hoskote link from KR Puram, which would add a further eastern connection for the Whitefield corridor.

The developer

Prestige Group is headquartered in Bengaluru. Razack Sattar founded the company in 1986 with Prestige Court on KH Road, and it has grown into one of South India's largest listed developers. Its flagship listed entity, Prestige Estates Projects Limited, trades on the BSE under 533274 and on the NSE as PRESTIGE. In the fourth quarter of FY25, the group launched four projects across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad, covering 14.03 million sq ft and 4,548 units.

In Bengaluru, the group has recently added to its residential pipeline with two new housing projects. Prestige Parklane in Devanahalli, a 12-acre development with 1,788 homes, is among its more recent launches in the city.

What comes next

Prestige Group has said it will continue to focus on proactive risk management and improvement across its sites. Park Grove remains under construction, with the work progressing through the remaining phases of its towers, while Lavender Fields is registered for completion in May 2027.
