Bengaluru's landmark convention and hospitality destination at Airport City
Prestige Convention & Hospitality Hub is a 1.5 million sqft integrated destination being developed by Prestige Group in partnership with Bengaluru Airport City Limited (BACL), announced on 11 June 2026. Anchored by a convention and exhibition centre designed to host international conferences, trade exhibitions, and large-scale cultural gatherings, the project is the most significant MICE-focused development to be unveiled in South India in recent years. It brings together, on a single 14.2-acre campus, a performing arts space with a proposed seating capacity of 2,500, luxury hotel inventory across two globally recognised brands, premium offices, and curated food and beverage experiences.
The hospitality component is planned to feature the Marriott Marquis brand — purpose-built for convention-scale events — and the St. Regis, an ultra-luxury flag that brings internationally consistent service standards to the Bengaluru market. With an initial target of over 350 keys across both brands, the Hub will give event organisers, corporate delegations, and individual business travellers a rare combination: the convention floor and the hotel room share the same address, eliminating the friction of inter-city transfers that has historically limited Bengaluru's ability to attract large global conventions.
Architecture for the campus has been commissioned from Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), the London-based firm whose portfolio spans some of the most recognised mixed-use towers and civic institutions across Asia, Europe, and North America. KPF's design draws from Bengaluru's dual identity as a garden city and a centre for technology and innovation. A large architectural canopy threads across the public realm, serving three simultaneous functions: supporting solar power generation, enabling rainwater harvesting, and providing thermal comfort across open-air gathering spaces. Sustainability is structural here, not decorative.
Prestige Group brings nearly four decades of institutional knowledge to this project. Founded in Bengaluru in 1986 by Razack Sattar, the group has since delivered 316 projects spanning 212 million sqft, with a current pipeline of 135 projects across 227 million sqft in cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, and Delhi-NCR. The group's hospitality experience encompasses owned and operated hotels and resorts — including the JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa on the northern edge of the city — giving the Prestige–Marriott relationship a tested operational foundation. The Rs 1,800 crore construction investment confirmed for this project reflects the group's commitment to recurring-income assets at institutional scale.
Construction is scheduled to commence by early 2027, with the development expected to become operational by 2031. The Prestige Convention & Hospitality Hub represents a specific infrastructure answer to a specific city need: Bengaluru, already India's technology capital, has long required a convention destination calibrated to the scale and frequency of international business events its corporate ecosystem generates. This campus is that answer — built at the airport, designed by a global firm, and backed by a developer with the track record to see it through.
